Rolex Explorer II 42 226570 Black Dial Stainless Steel 2025 FULL SET

The Rolex Explorer II reference 226570 in Oystersteel with the black dial and the signature orange 24-hour hand. The Explorer II was introduced in 1971 as a tool watch for speleologists and polar explorers, people who could spend days without daylight and needed to tell day from night at a glance, and the bright orange hand has been its trademark ever since. The 226570 arrived in 2021 to mark the model's 50th anniversary, refining the 42mm case with slimmer proportions and updated details while keeping everything that made the Explorer II a cult favourite.

The black dial carries Chromalight luminous markers and hands, with the orange 24-hour hand reading against the fixed steel bezel engraved with a 24-hour scale, so it can track a second time zone as well as day and night. The date sits under the Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock. The 42mm Oystersteel case is water resistant to 100 metres and paired with the Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock safety clasp and Easylink comfort extension. This 2025 example presents in excellent condition and carries the balance of its Rolex manufacturer warranty until February 2030.
